A simple crepe, sweetened with fresh-squeezed orange juice and served with whipped cream. Luscious! The service was slow but we were in no hurry. It gave us time to people watch and read the paper.

Two things can kill your business. Being over priced. And delivering little to no value. Lets start with the good. The Service was stellar. seriously I could not have asked for a better waitress. Attentive, nice and gave amazing suggestions. The atmosphere was VERY nice, quiet, intimate and beautiful. The bad. The food. Not impressed, not very "french" yet very expensive. I went on a Friday night for dinner and the place was empty. (which might explain the amazing service) but the food was sub par. not very tasty and the menu was basic. I could have had a more authentic french dinner googling french recipes at home.

The first location was always nice for a sandwich. This location tries hard to make french bistro food, yet disappointing. The onion soup was salty and the pate tasted not homemade. The steak was not cooked right with average french fries. mussels were cooked to a tough texture in a flavorless sauce. The merry go round music outside drove us crazy.

We were lucky enough to be invited to the "test" open of the new Paris In Town LeBistro. OMG.....for fans of the original Paris In Town...this place will not disappoint. located in Downtown at the Gardens Center just opposite the carousel...the decor is very comfortable and....French. nothing about this place is stuffy yet in it's own quiet way...it is very classy. now on to the food...... my husband and i shared calamari....delicious. i had the mussels and he had the skirt steak. his response was "it's done to perfection". high praise as he's argentinian and they eat steak for breakfast!!! we don't usually have dessert and coffee but we chose to try both desserts available tonight....creme brulee and a flourless chocolate cake. there are no words to describe either. you will have to go to see for yourself. they open to the public this friday june 24. prepare to be dazzled

Worst experience ever! Owners nowhere to be found. Left the hostess in charge of the restaurant. No busboys so dirty plates and dishes on many tables. one hour for apps ad two hours for entrees...which were cold! supposedly one of the chefs quit and walked out tonight. we should have done the same and tried make a point that the customer matters! worst dining experience to date.

Since I've frequented the US #1 location several times, I expected good quality food. However, the wait time for our lunch to be served was over 30 minutes in a business that was not busy enough for this length of wait. Our server was great, but none of the floor managers made an effort to stop by the table to speak with us or apologize for the wait. The food when it finally arrived was ok, but the crust of the bread for my sandwich was burnt and the french fries arrived 10 minutes later. Not the best experience.

Since I love Paris in Town (bakery), I couldn't wait to try Paris In Town Le Bistro at Downtown. What a disappointment. We waited a half hour for our appetizers and guess what? They brought out our entree!! I said "no, we ordered appetizers first, that dish must belong to another table." The waitress came back and said they made an error and our appetizer order never went into the kitchen. She said "would you mind if you just have your entree and no appetizer?" What were we to say? So we ate our main meals and decided on no dessert. Now you would think since they made the error they would offer something to make up for it. Maybe a glass of wine, a complimentary dessert? But nothing. Upon leaving the restaurant, we spoke to the manager and said if you want to run a business right and have customers come back, you should have offered something for the error your kitchen/ staff made. He wrote on our receipt that we can have 2 free appetizers when we come back. Food was good. Would I hurry back? Not so sure until they iron out the kinks.

Lunch on Sunday @ 1:30pm was busy, but not crazy. The food was just as good as the original Paris in Town on US1. Love the Goat Cheese Salad, Turkey Croissant, French Onion Soup. Delicious!!! Go for the "French" experience ..... you will be pleasantly surprised at the quaint, bistro feel of the place. Love it, and will be back many, many times!! (4 stars only cuz service was a little slow, but it DID just open, so let's give it a bit of time to work out the kinks!!)

I visited this cafe for dinner to relive a previous trip to Paris, and wasn't disappointed. I chose the Croque Monsieur and it was wonderfully toasty and cheesy. It came with a small spring greens salad with a light dressing, and delicious golden-y fries. For dessert I had the strawberry Nutella crepe, which was delicious and presented beautifully. The waitress wasn't aware of the free crepe with check-in offer, but the manager took care of that and my crepe was free! Previous reviews were disappointed with service (mine was fine). Overall, I was happy with my visit, and glad to reminisce about Paris while dining outside.

This restaurant was our second stop in part of my *dinner hopping date experience with the husband. We had never dined in a French restaurant, so we saw this quaint little casual bistro with high ceilings. The architecture and decor is very much like being in the quaint side of France, not that I've ever been. But the interiors were definitely full of French personality. The employees were even French! They had the accent, looks, and even spoke it! So we wanted something that we could share so we could hop onto the next restaurant. The menu is brief, but full of very French foods from duck to escargots... they had the quiche and we love quiche! We ordered the Spinach Quiche and it came with a side of Balsamic tossed salad greens. The quiche was of a very good size and the greens looked very fresh. The spinach pieces in the quiche were perfect rather than being balled up as most restaurants. The egg was very fluffy and the crust well cooked and delicious. We agreed the meal was very flavorful and hit the spot for both of us as we didn't leave a crumb on the plate! The price was good for this amazing meal! The waiter was very charming and ensured our meal was excellent. I would love to come back for lunch sometime! And maybe have it be my first time to try the escargots or duck..... yeah. :) *Dinner Hopping= sampling restaurants in the same plaza as you would with bar hopping. Fun experience!

Went for a late lunch, it was empty. The Baked Brie was very good but we weren't given anything to eat the cheese on. Would be great if served with toasted baguette. Also shared a salad (beet and strawberry) which needed more dressing, and the mussels. Not very impressed with the food and highly disappointed that they were out of French macaroons. I have had good service and decent food here in the past, but sadly this will be my last trip. Waitress was sweet but inexperienced. Manager was just plain arrogant. Owner took my name and number, promised to take care of it and follow up with me. Three days, no call. First problem- more a case of poor description on the menu than a big problem. I ordered turkey on a croissant. Simple, right? They put it in a panini press. It was smooshed flat and hard as a rock. I spoke with the waitress, she said they do that to melt the cheese. Well, the cheese sure was melted. I mean, I guess it was in there, it was so flat and hard that I didn't try to pry it apart. I said forget melting the cheese, I would like the croissant soft. Second problem- this time they put it in the oven to melt the cheese so once again, the croissant was hard enough to bounce something off it. Waitress and manager offered to bring something else or make it again but by this time my kids were mostly done eating and I was trying not to be a problem so I said I'd make do. I picked out the turkey, sent back a mostly full plate. Third problem- the check came and I was charged for the meal. I questioned the waitress, she said the manager said that's their policy. Eager to be out of there, I paid it, planning to quietly leave and not come back Fourth problem- as we're leaving, the manager smiled politely and said come again. Seriously???? This would be when I got mad, said I felt it was very tacky to charge me for a meal that I did not eat and no, I would not be back again. The owner came over. They said it was the waitress's fault. They said it was a language barrier. They wanted to make it right. He asked for my name and number, said he would call me when my credit card had been adjusted. That was three days ago. No changes to my credit card, no phone call. EDITED 7/27 The bill was adjusted.

France in Palm beach gardens. Little Paris In Town is in my opinion a good way to experience French cuisine. I came here with my girlfriend and I for a Sunday brunch at around 12 in the afternoon. It wasn't that busy only about 5 tables occupied. But had to wait 15min before we was offered something to drink. So we ordered water to maybe make things easier. And still had to wait another 15min to get our drinks. The food is not bad just plan on waiting 20-30min to get your food. I would definitely bring a book next time.

Very difficult to get in, move around, and leave. Absolutely not worth the overcrowding and rude management staff. It feels like a pretentious cafe and I suppose if that was the goal, they succeeded. Sandwiches are good, but call ahead and pick up if you must. Chocolate filled chocolate chip cookie is delicious. Wish there were better things to say about coming here though.

My girlfriend Tiki always told me how much she loved Paris in Town bistro on US1, and I saw that they had expanded into the Downtown Gardens area. She was the one who always tried to get me to go to brunch with her at the US1 establishment, but I could never find a parking spot whenever I would try to go there to pick up a salad.... so.... My mom and I came to this new location together on June 1st. I was famished from a hard run that morning and wanted to sit down in the shade and just relax before heading to Wholefoods. I had the salad, two cups of coffee and my mom just wanted a baguette with apricot jam on it. The service was very very friendly and everything arrived pretty fast. We sat out on the patio and just felt the breeze, watched the carousel and the little train trolly go by. It's a cute place and I'm thinking of going back to try more items on the menu.
I stopped in with my mother since I was dying for a crepe. The waiter upfront ignored me as I tried to get his attention. He eventually said wait but never came back. It wasn't until the two girls that he was serving (e.g.hitting on) actually got his attention and said it was ok to serve me. After he took my order, I was made to wait over 15 minutes which should've taken no more than five minutes. Eventually, my mother and I walked out. The crepes may be good but it's not worth such poor customer service.

Went here for lunch last week. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a great drink called Le Crab that the bartender Lisa recommended. It had absinthe, gin and St Germaine and she made it perfectly balanced. The lamb burger tasted very juicy and was the best burger I've had in a while. Definitely going back to this place next time I'm in the Gardens.

Don't waste your time or money on this place. There are a lot of other restaurants in Downtown that have better food and service. My one and only time there with a group of friends would be forgettable if weren't for the fact that out of nine of us only one got what she ordered while the rest of us were served either uncooked ravioli, cold chicken or never received our food. All this after waiting over an hour after placing our orders. We were served by a rude waitress who spent half the time ignoring us and the other half slamming water glasses on the table when we asked for refills. The manager was nonexistent until the end after repeatedly asking to speak to him. All this may have been acceptable if the restaurant was busy but we were one of two occupied tables. Downtown has lots of good restaurants. This is NOT one of them!

The service was painfully slow with no explanation. It was our waitress's first day but that doesn't explain the 90 minutes it took to serve two sandwiches and a crepe. The food was very tasty and the fries were crispy and salty and just perfect. Too bad the service leaves so much to be desired. Thankfully I was having lunch with a friend outside on a beautiful day so this particular wait was pleasant and didn't inconvenience me. I will return but with adjusted expectations.

We went the night there was a boil water alert in the area. Sooo...that's not their fault but way they handled it was. We couldn't get certain items or drinks. We were a party of five sitting outside. It's a little noisy and the carousel is annoying. Our waitress was awful. She kept telling us how bad her day was and what trouble she had from other customers. We shared two salads, a Cesar and the goat cheese. Nothing special there. The entrees were very good. Two had the salmon with spinach. Tasty and prepared perfect. The others had a mushroom ravioli and one had the lamb shank which she enjoyed. Spinach was the side but our friend asked to substitute ratatouille. She was told there would be an extra charge. Fine, but they bought out the spinach and when we said something, we were told"I heard spinach" several times. She charged us for spinach and ratatouille and the bottle of water which we had to have since there was NO water. They took the spinach off the bill but not the water and we were told again "I heard spinach!". In other words we're liars. The mixed drinks were over priced at 11.00 for a vodka on rocks? No thanks. Not for that kind of nasty treatment.

Solid bistro true to its heritage (There is a PIT cafe nearby that's been around for decades). Sat outside on one of the patios, which is fine if the Carousel and tram don't interfere with your experience - they didn't affect ours much. A pleasant French waiter was perfect - we were two friends grabbing dinner and did not need a fawning servant. He was efficient and there when needed. At a bistro for the first time? For me that means a Caesar salad and steak frites to gauge the chef's skills. Caesar was perfect - dressed with a more lemony recipe than is found in Italian spots. The tomato - WAIT! They put TOMATO in the Caesar?? - They did, and I'm glad - though its not traditional, there was just enough to make you want more since whoever buys the produce knows a good tomato from the styrofoam garbage at Restaurant Depot. Thank you for putting a little tomato in my Caesar. It was delicious. My buddy ordered Caprese - sliced tomato and mozzarella. Since the tomatoes were the same and the mozz was fresh - he was very happy. The steak au poivre was cooked rare, exactly as ordered. The sauce had a hint of brandy as promised, but the steak would have benefited from a dredging in cracked peppercorns to give it punch. The fries were spectacular - bathed until slightly golden and finished just before being served. My friend had Chicken à la Normande - chicken in a white wine mushroom sauce. How was it? I dunno - you'll have to ask him...he cleaned his plate so fast there was no need to even wash it. Must have been pretty good. We skipped dessert - but I will gladly go back whenever I'm in the mood for decent bistro fare. Reminds me of a little bistro I used to frequent in NYC.

There are many places in the Gardens area for a quick desert, but we chose Paris In Town Le Bistro. It is quaint and looks clean and has a nice atmosphere. We sat at a high top near the bar and within seconds the bartender greeted us and gave us menus. That was the last time we were waited on. From then on WE had to do the waiting. And waiting. We finally ordered coffee and a Crepe. We got the coffee after 10 minutes. Ten minutes later I went to the bar and when the bartender saw me he turned around without a word, printed a bill, turned back and laid it on the counter. It was for the coffee and crepe. I said "I'm happy to pay for the coffee, but we never got our crepe and it's been 20 minutes." He apologized (good move) and said he'd comp the coffee (another good move.) We weren't mad, but we left and went elsewhere. We will probably not return. During the time we sat at our high-top, there were servers walking all around us, a host/crepe-maker about 10 feet away and the bartender within 8 feet of us. No one noticed that we were not being served. The bartender, who was very personable, had talked nonstop (not exaggerating) to two ladies at the bar for the entire time we were waiting. We did have the chance to see the crepe-guy, who wore a tie and may have been a "manager", make a few crepes. Well, he didn't "cook" them; he just reheated them, filled them and served them. Really? Great bistro, typically French fare, good portions, and reasonable price. Located in the promenade in back of Whole Foods, this little gem is a great place for an intimate, delicious lunch. Been there a # of times with my twin sis and we love the food we are so familiar with from our French mom. Last month, took friends who totally enjoyed the restaurant. It was a little later than lunch crowd so quiet and very attentive staff. Hubby and I ordered quiche which was served as a lunch-sized portion with wonderfully prepared small salad alongside. Absolutely delicious. Friends dine on Panini's and were impressed with preparation and portion. There's a great modest wine list and a nice range of typically French items to choose from, including a green salad with poached eggs that my mom and I enjoyed in the south of France a number of years ago. A touch of France in Palm Beach - love this little bistro and would highly recommend during a shopping trip to Garden's Mall. Hop, skip away from the stores and worthy of a different twist on mall food! Bon appetit! P.S.: French fries are awesome.....

Our party of four chose to take advantage of the beautiful evening and sit in one of two outdoor patios. We found the service to be very attentive and professional. We all had an appetizer, entree, desert and coffees..not to mention 3 carafes of wine. By the way if you do a little arithmetic you may find the carafe a much better way to go. Everyone enjoyed the first two courses, even though two fish entrees were a tad overcooked. Three of us were less impressed with the crepes we had for desert. The crepe itself seemed a bit rubbery, the fillings just okay, and the two blobs of canned whipped cream a loud no no. My wife said her creme brulee was excellent. A large merry-go-round abuts the restaurant, and a small train ride also passes in very close proximity. We found neither to be a distraction, though some might. The bill for our meal came to $114 per couple, pre tip. Not inexpensive, but we did go soup to nuts. On balance we enjoyed our experience and would go again.

OMG.....for fans of the original Paris In Town...this place will not disappoint. located in Downtown at the Gardens Center just opposite the carousel...the decor is very comfortable and....French. nothing about this place is stuffy yet in it's own quiet way...it is very classy. now on to the food...... my husband and i shared calamari....delicious. i had the mussels and he had the skirt steak. his response was "it's done to perfection". high praise as he's argentinian and they eat steak for breakfast!!! we don't usually have dessert and coffee but we chose to try both desserts available tonight....creme brulee and a flourless chocolate cake. there are no words to describe either. you will have to go to see for yourself. they open to the public this friday june 24. prepare to be dazzled

Good service. Great bread, good pate, good steak au poivre, great frites, too full for dessert. Reasonable prices. Atmosphere like most mall restaurants, not as stuffy as some French restaurants. I'd return next time we are in town.

Worst experience ever! Owners nowhere to be found. Left the hostess in charge of the restaurant. No busboys so dirty plates and dishes on many tables. one hour for apps ad two hours for entrees...which were cold! supposedly one of the chefs quit and walked out tonight. we should have done the same and tried make a point that the customer matters! worst dining experience to date.

Since I've frequented the US #1 location several times, I expected good quality food. However, the wait time for our lunch to be served was over 30 minutes in a business that was not busy enough for this length of wait. Our server was great, but none of the floor managers made an effort to stop by the table to speak with us or apologize for the wait. The food when it finally arrived was ok, but the crust of the bread for my sandwich was burnt and the french fries arrived 10 minutes later. Not the best experience.

Since I love Paris in Town (bakery), I couldn't wait to try Paris In Town Le Bistro at Downtown. What a disappointment. We waited a half hour for our appetizers and guess what? They brought out our entree!! I said "no, we ordered appetizers first, that dish must belong to another table." The waitress came back and said they made an error and our appetizer order never went into the kitchen. She said "would you mind if you just have your entree and no appetizer?" What were we to say? So we ate our main meals and decided on no dessert. Now you would think since they made the error they would offer something to make up for it. Maybe a glass of wine, a complimentary dessert? But nothing. Upon leaving the restaurant, we spoke to the manager and said if you want to run a business right and have customers come back, you should have offered something for the error your kitchen/ staff made. He wrote on our receipt that we can have 2 free appetizers when we come back. Food was good. Would I hurry back? Not so sure until they iron out the kinks.

Lunch on Sunday @ 1:30pm was busy, but not crazy. The food was just as good as the original Paris in Town on US1. Love the Goat Cheese Salad, Turkey Croissant, French Onion Soup. Delicious!!! Go for the "French" experience ..... you will be pleasantly surprised at the quaint, bistro feel of the place. Love it, and will be back many, many times!! (4 stars only cuz service was a little slow, but it DID just open, so let's give it a bit of time to work out the kinks!!)

I visited this cafe for dinner to relive a previous trip to Paris, and wasn't disappointed. I chose the Croque Monsieur and it was wonderfully toasty and cheesy. It came with a small spring greens salad with a light dressing, and delicious golden-y fries. For dessert I had the strawberry Nutella crepe, which was delicious and presented beautifully. The waitress wasn't aware of the free crepe with check-in offer, but the manager took care of that and my crepe was free! Previous reviews were disappointed with service (mine was fine). Overall, I was happy with my visit, and glad to reminisce about Paris while dining outside.

The Food here is really good. However! I have been there for brunch several times. Every time ,it turns into a half day event! It never fails! The staff is very, very slow and there are not enough people working. Not very friendly eighter. If you have all day, then it's for you. If you have second plans, your in trouble! This restaurant was our second stop in part of my *dinner hopping date experience with the husband. We had never dined in a French restaurant, so we saw this quaint little casual bistro with high ceilings. The architecture and decor is very much like being in the quaint side of France, not that I've ever been. But the interiors were definitely full of French personality. The employees were even French! They had the accent, looks, and even spoke it! So we wanted something that we could share so we could hop onto the next restaurant. The menu is brief, but full of very French foods from duck to escargots... they had the quiche and we love quiche! We ordered the Spinach Quiche and it came with a side of Balsamic tossed salad greens. The quiche was of a very good size and the greens looked very fresh. The spinach pieces in the quiche were perfect rather than being balled up as most restaurants. The egg was very fluffy and the crust well cooked and delicious. We agreed the meal was very flavorful and hit the spot for both of us as we didn't leave a crumb on the plate! The price was good for this amazing meal! The waiter was very charming and ensured our meal was excellent. I would love to come back for lunch sometime! And maybe have it be my first time to try the escargots or duck..... yeah. :) *Dinner Hopping= sampling restaurants in the same plaza as you would with bar hopping. Fun experience!

Went for a late lunch, it was empty. The Baked Brie was very good but we weren't given anything to eat the cheese on. Would be great if served with toasted baguette. Also shared a salad (beet and strawberry) which needed more dressing, and the mussels. Not very impressed with the food and highly disappointed that they were out of French macaroons. Service was very slow for the amount of people in the shop...

It really was just a ham and cheese on a baguette.... Not pressed or melted at all. Blahhhh Staff is friendly enough and food was ok, but Really overpriced. Probably won't be going back soon. I have had good service and decent food here in the past, but sadly this will be my last trip. Waitress was sweet but inexperienced. Manager was just plain arrogant. Owner took my name and number, promised to take care of it and follow up with me. Three days, no call. First problem- more a case of poor description on the menu than a big problem. I ordered turkey on a croissant. Simple, right? They put it in a panini press. It was smooshed flat and hard as a rock. I spoke with the waitress, she said they do that to melt the cheese. Well, the cheese sure was melted. I mean, I guess it was in there, it was so flat and hard that I didn't try to pry it apart. I said forget melting the cheese, I would like the croissant soft. Second problem- this time they put it in the oven to melt the cheese so once again, the croissant was hard enough to bounce something off it. Waitress and manager offered to bring something else or make it again but by this time my kids were mostly done eating and I was trying not to be a problem so I said I'd make do. I picked out the turkey, sent back a mostly full plate. Third problem- the check came and I was charged for the meal. I questioned the waitress, she said the manager said that's their policy. Eager to be out of there, I paid it, planning to quietly leave and not come back Fourth problem- as we're leaving, the manager smiled politely and said come again. Seriously???? This would be when I got mad, said I felt it was very tacky to charge me for a meal that I did not eat and no, I would not be back again. The owner came over. They said it was the waitress's fault. They said it was a language barrier. They wanted to make it right. He asked for my name and number, said he would call me when my credit card had been adjusted. That was three days ago. No changes to my credit card, no phone call. EDITED 7/27 The bill was adjusted.

France in Palm beach gardens. Little Paris In Town is in my opinion a good way to experience French cuisine. I came here with my girlfriend and I for a Sunday brunch at around 12 in the afternoon. It wasn't that busy only about 5 tables occupied. But had to wait 15min before we was offered something to drink. So we ordered water to maybe make things easier. And still had to wait another 15min to get our drinks. The food is not bad just plan on waiting 20-30min to get your food. I would definitely bring a book next time.

Very difficult to get in, move around, and leave. Absolutely not worth the overcrowding and rude management staff. It feels like a pretentious cafe and I suppose if that was the goal, they succeeded. Sandwiches are good, but call ahead and pick up if you must. Chocolate filled chocolate chip cookie is delicious. Wish there were better things to say about coming here though.

My girlfriend Tiki always told me how much she loved Paris in Town bistro on US1, and I saw that they had expanded into the Downtown Gardens area. She was the one who always tried to get me to go to brunch with her at the US1 establishment, but I could never find a parking spot whenever I would try to go there to pick up a salad.... so.... My mom and I came to this new location together on June 1st. I was famished from a hard run that morning and wanted to sit down in the shade and just relax before heading to Wholefoods. I had the salad, two cups of coffee and my mom just wanted a baguette with apricot jam on it. The service was very very friendly and everything arrived pretty fast. We sat out on the patio and just felt the breeze, watched the carousel and the little train trolly go by. It's a cute place and I'm thinking of going back to try more items on the menu.

The rosé wine was really the only good thing to our meal. Service was painfully slow as they were shorthanded again (same thing happened our first visit). Our waitress was overwhelmed but she was trying and clearly frustrated. If you've ever had Coquilles St. Jacques, i.e. the true French preparation for the scallops, you'll be extremely disappointed with it here. We counted 10 bay scallops distributed throughout an escargot dish, with nothing but gobs of thick cheese melted on top. The mozzarella tomato salad was so-so. From our seats we looked directly at the bar and into the kitchen. The kitchen staff was horsing around a lot. It didn't seem like anyone took their work seriously except our waitress. I should have followed my gut instinct. We should have gone to the salad bar at Whole Foods instead.

I stopped in with my mother since I was dying for a crepe. The waiter upfront ignored me as I tried to get his attention. He eventually said wait but never came back. It wasn't until the two girls that he was serving (e.g.hitting on) actually got his attention and said it was ok to serve me. After he took my order, I was made to wait over 15 minutes which should've taken no more than five minutes. Eventually, my mother and I walked out. The crepes may be good but it's not worth such poor customer service.

Went here for lunch last week. Sat at the bar and enjoyed a great drink called Le Crab that the bartender Lisa recommended. It had absinthe, gin and St Germaine and she made it perfectly balanced. The lamb burger tasted very juicy and was the best burger I've had in a while. Definitely going back to this place next time I'm in the Gardens.

Don't waste your time or money on this place. There are a lot of other restaurants in Downtown that have better food and service. My one and only time there with a group of friends would be forgettable if weren't for the fact that out of nine of us only one got what she ordered while the rest of us were served either uncooked ravioli, cold chicken or never received our food. All this after waiting over an hour after placing our orders. We were served by a rude waitress who spent half the time ignoring us and the other half slamming water glasses on the table when we asked for refills. The manager was nonexistent until the end after repeatedly asking to speak to him. All this may have been acceptable if the restaurant was busy but we were one of two occupied tables. Downtown has lots of good restaurants. This is NOT one of them!

The service was painfully slow with no explanation. It was our waitress's first day but that doesn't explain the 90 minutes it took to serve two sandwiches and a crepe. The food was very tasty and the fries were crispy and salty and just perfect. Too bad the service leaves so much to be desired. They are alienating any potential business lunch crowd with wait times that long. Thankfully I was having lunch with a friend outside on a beautiful day so this particular wait was pleasant and didn't inconvenience me. I will return but with adjusted expectations.

Stopped in for Sunday brunch. I really wanted mussels, but they only offer brunch food for, well, brunch. I had an above average eggs Benedict for $13 (affordable) and the best iced tea I've had in ages!! Service was fast and pleasant! I sat inside to avoid the annoying carousel noise...lol

We went the night there was a boil water alert in the area. Sooo...that's not their fault but way they handled it was. We couldn't get certain items or drinks. We were a party of five sitting outside. It's a little noisy and the carousel is annoying. Our waitress was awful. She kept telling us how bad her day was and what trouble she had from other customers. We shared two salads, a Cesar and the goat cheese. Nothing special there. The entrees were very good. Two had the salmon with spinach. Tasty and prepared perfect. The others had a mushroom ravioli and one had the lamb shank which she enjoyed. Spinach was the side but our friend asked to substitute ratatouille. She was told there would be an extra charge. Fine, but they bought out the spinach and when we said something, we were told"I heard spinach" several times. She charged us for spinach and ratatouille and the bottle of water which we had to have since there was NO water. They took the spinach off the bill but not the water and we were told again "I heard spinach!". In other words we're liars. The mixed drinks were over priced at 11.00 for a vodka on rocks? No thanks. Not for that kind of nasty treatment.

Solid bistro true to its heritage (There is a PIT cafe nearby that's been around for decades). Sat outside on one of the patios, which is fine if the Carousel and tram don't interfere with your experience - they didn't affect ours much. A pleasant French waiter was perfect - we were two friends grabbing dinner and did not need a fawning servant. He was efficient and there when needed. At a bistro for the first time? For me that means a Caesar salad and steak frites to gauge the chef's skills. Caesar was perfect - dressed with a more lemony recipe than is found in Italian spots. The tomato - WAIT! They put TOMATO in the Caesar?? - They did, and I'm glad - though its not traditional, there was just enough to make you want more since whoever buys the produce knows a good tomato from the styrofoam garbage at Restaurant Depot. Thank you for putting a little tomato in my Caesar. It was delicious. My buddy ordered Caprese - sliced tomato and mozzarella. Since the tomatoes were the same and the mozz was fresh - he was very happy. The steak au poivre was cooked rare, exactly as ordered. The sauce had a hint of brandy as promised, but the steak would have benefited from a dredging in cracked peppercorns to give it punch. The fries were spectacular - bathed until slightly golden and finished just before being served. My friend had Chicken à la Normande - chicken in a white wine mushroom sauce. How was it? I dunno - you'll have to ask him...he cleaned his plate so fast there was no need to even wash it. Must have been pretty good. We skipped dessert - but I will gladly go back whenever I'm in the mood for decent bistro fare. Reminds me of a little bistro I used to frequent in NYC.

There are many places in the Gardens area for a quick desert, but we chose Paris In Town Le Bistro. It is quaint and looks clean and has a nice atmosphere. We sat at a high top near the bar and within seconds the bartender greeted us and gave us menus. That was the last time we were waited on. From then on WE had to do the waiting. And waiting. We finally ordered coffee and a Crepe. We got the coffee after 10 minutes. Ten minutes later I went to the bar and when the bartender saw me he turned around without a word, printed a bill, turned back and laid it on the counter. It was for the coffee and crepe. I said "I'm happy to pay for the coffee, but we never got our crepe and it's been 20 minutes." He apologized (good move) and said he'd comp the coffee (another good move.) We weren't mad, but we left and went elsewhere. We will probably not return. During the time we sat at our high-top, there were servers walking all around us, a host/crepe-maker about 10 feet away and the bartender within 8 feet of us. No one noticed that we were not being served. The bartender, who was very personable, had talked nonstop (not exaggerating) to two ladies at the bar for the entire time we were waiting. We did have the chance to see the crepe-guy, who wore a tie and may have been a "manager", make a few crepes. Well, he didn't "cook" them; he just reheated them, filled them and served them. Really? Great bistro, typically French fare, good portions, and reasonable price. Located in the promenade in back of Whole Foods, this little gem is a great place for an intimate, delicious lunch. Been there a # of times with my twin sis and we love the food we are so familiar with from our French mom. Last month, took friends who totally enjoyed the restaurant. It was a little later than lunch crowd so quiet and very attentive staff. Hubby and I ordered quiche which was served as a lunch-sized portion with wonderfully prepared small salad alongside. Absolutely delicious. Friends dine on Panini's and were impressed with preparation and portion. There's a great modest wine list and a nice range of typically French items to choose from, including a green salad with poached eggs that my mom and I enjoyed in the south of France a number of years ago. A touch of France in Palm Beach - love this little bistro and would highly recommend during a shopping trip to Garden's Mall. Hop, skip away from the stores and worthy of a different twist on mall food! Bon appetit! P.S.: French fries are awesome.....

Our party of four chose to take advantage of the beautiful evening and sit in one of two outdoor patios. We found the service to be very attentive and professional. We all had an appetizer, entree, desert and coffees..not to mention 3 carafes of wine. By the way if you do a little arithmetic you may find the carafe a much better way to go. Everyone enjoyed the first two courses, even though two fish entrees were a tad overcooked. Three of us were less impressed with the crepes we had for desert. The crepe itself seemed a bit rubbery, the fillings just okay, and the two blobs of canned whipped cream a loud no no. My wife said her creme brulee was excellent. A large merry-go-round abuts the restaurant, and a small train ride also passes in very close proximity. We found neither to be a distraction, though some might. The bill for our meal came to $114 per couple, pre tip. Not inexpensive, but we did go soup to nuts. On balance we enjoyed our experience and would go again.

We had a couple crepes in the window - delicious! One had nutella and banana, the other nutella, banana and gran manier. SOOOO GOOD. Service was a bit slow but if you are in no rush, you will feel like you are in Paris, or France somewhere where there is no rush and food is to be enjoyed. I wonder if the service is always that slow??? But it was good and I was happy. I would like to try more.

Both times I've tried to eat here, there's been a "service wait." The restaurant isn't full; it's half empty, but they refuse to seat anyone. Really unprofessional. When I've finally been seated, the service is decent and the food is decent. But to encounter a service wait that often? Pretty insane.
